AODA Customer Service Policy

Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act

This policy is intended to meet the requirements of Accessibility Standards for Customer Service, Ontario Regulation 429/07 under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, and applies to the provision of goods and services to the public or other third parties.

All goods and services provided by Ancaster Conveying Systems Ltd. (ACS) shall follow the principles of dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity.

The Provision of Goods and Services to Persons with Disabilities

ACS will make every reasonable effort to ensure that its policies, practices and procedures are consistent with the principles of dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity.

Assistive Devices

Customers with disabilities may use their own assistive devices as required when accessing goods or services provided by ACS.

Guide Dogs, Service Animals and Service Dogs

A customer with a disability, who is accompanied by guide dog, service animal or service dog will be allowed access to premises that are open to the public unless otherwise excluded by law.

Support Persons

A customer with a disability, who is accompanied by a support person, will be allowed to enter the premise together and that the customer is not prevented from having access to the support person.

Notice of Disruptions in Service

In the event of any temporary disruptions to facilities or services that customers with disabilities rely on to access or use the ACS’s goods or services, reasonable efforts will be made to provide advance notice.

Notice will be provided on our website, entrances and on reception with the following:

  • Goods or services that are disrupted or unavailable
  • Reason for the disruption
  • Anticipated duration
  • A description of alternative services or options

Training

ACS will provide training to employees, volunteers and or contractors to raise their awareness about providing services to persons with disabilities.

Notice of Availability and Format of Documents

ACS will post a notice that its customer service standard is available on its website and can be provided in hard copy or in any other format that is requested by a person with a disability.

Modifications to This or Other Policies

Any policy of ACS that does not respect and promote the dignity and independence of people with disabilities will be modified or removed.

We welcome feedback on how we’re doing in the delivery of our products and services from all of our customers, including those with disabilities. Customers who wish to provide feedback can do so by completing the Feedback Form or by:
